 elcome to New England Retrievers,
This is our way of reaching out to other working retriever enthusiasts.
We are active hunters and in 1996 we began the adventurous life of
dog training. Along with our training group, who have become
some of our closest friends, we have embarked on quite the journey.
No one ever said dog training was easy work. All the ups and downs, hot summer days in wide open fields, occasional downpours, and the emotional
roller coaster we go through at a hunt test makes us wonder why we do this.
But believe me the benefits of hunting with a well-trained dog or seeing your dog ace a test
makes it all worthwhile. It also helps when the dogs can't run fast enough into the truck when you
tell them it's time to work. Some say the dog works for you, but I think we
are just their rides to go have fun.
Through this website we will share with you some of our favorite drills, interesting articles and
techniques we have learned. We are very fortunate to have many friends with dog knowledge to help us on our
journey.
So feel free to poke around and hopefully you will get some ideas. If you would like to share any drills,
tips or ideas with us contact us at
